On May 24, please take action to help clean up our air by voting to
adopt a new rule to reduce air pollution from California's
construction equipment.

This is especially important to me as I live in the Long Beach
basin where our air is NOT up to federal standards and adoption of
this rule will help bring the quality of our air up to the
standards set by the federal government but not yet met by your
board.

If adopted, you will have prevented 48 tons per day of NOx and 5
tons per day of particulate air pollution from entering our air by
the year 2020.  In addition you will help prevent 4,000 premature
deaths due to air pollution and reduce the cost of treating these
conditons by about 8 billion dollars.
