| Comment | California is a wonderful place, but air pollution is tainting our Golden State. Stricter air pollution standards on construction equipment would save lives and save money and our beautiful landscape. Estimates put the money saved from reduced health care costs associated with stronger air pollution standard for construction equipment at over $10 billion! 16% of Nitrogen Oxides and 20% of particulate matter are the result of these dirty construction machines. Something needs to be done! Stricter standards must be implemented for construction machinery and it needs to be done now! |
