I understand that you will soon be voting on new regulation of
In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicles. I support strengthened state air
standards and reduced air pollution from construction equipment.

As a Californian, and someone who lives just off the 210 at the
intersection of the Angeles Crest Highway on-and-offramp, I
heartily support passage of this rule. 

My brother drives a backhoe for Penhall. He'll benefit, too, from
breathing in less toxic fumes as he works.

Californians will again lead the way for the nation as we reduce
particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. The resulting reduction in
health care costs alone will change California's quality of life
for the better.
