I urge the Board to vote to enact this regulation at the May 25
meeting.  It is the fruit of much time and stakeholder input.  It
is fair to the construction industry and does much to improve the
air and quality of life for all Californians - including
construction workers who must breathe closest to the source of
diesel emissions.  Please act Friday so that we can proactively
begin the process of avoiding the millions of dollars lost to
hospitalizations, sick days, illness and lost activity time for
our children.  Your work and vote on this issue is crucial!
