of Amazon oil
2.) California has also declared a climate
change emergency.
3.) The Amazon rain forest serves as
the lungs of the planet and protecting the rain forest is essential
in our fight against climate change.
California cannot
respond to climate change while also being responsible for the
destruction of the Amazon rain forests.
My daughter is
8 years old and I worry about her future. I beg CARB to ensure that
all climate change plans going forward should restrict fossil fuel
expansion – domestically and globally. CARB can require
refineries to put Indigenous rights screens in place and mechanisms
to ensure that oil will not be sourced from new drilling in the
Amazon.
