I request that California crude oil is outsourced from regulated
refineries in the Amazon. Also those same refineries are not
implicated in human rights violations in the Amazon. Many crimes
are being committed by rogue refineries and by oil companies
corrupted practices. California can't be an accomplice of
international human rights violations.
California has
the capability of becoming independent of crude oil by setting up
wind powered infrastructure statewide. And instead there is an
insistence on doing business as usual, California consumes nearly 50% of all oil exports from
the Amazon globally (nearly 1 in 9 gallons pumped in-state on
average).
Please consider my request as one of
the millions of gas consumers who struggle with the price gouging
at gas stations. At least make it worth every penny we put in the
tank by cleaning up the outsourcing of crude oil in the
Amazon.
