Hello C.A.R.B,
Please consider moving up the date that natural gas and oil
extraction to be phased out from 2045 to 2035.
Also, oil refining needs to have a locked in phase out time or
it will keep producing fossil fuels even with all the new green
energy, slowing down mitigation even more. Phase oil refining out
by at most 2045.
Please consider cancelling the +10 gw of natural gas energy
sources to be built, and instead use that money to invest in green
energy like wind and solar. Not addressing this issue will only
slow mitigation efforts more.
Please rely on proven carbon capture processes such as planting
trees, composting, and soil regeneration. Otherwise we are gambling
on carbon capture technology that does not yet exist!
All new California appliances should be electric by 2030. (100%
instead of 80%)
