My name is Najayra Valdovinos Soto, I live in the Rialto and I
am with the IEIYC, and I am in support of a strong scooping plan.
Due to the fact that living in Rialto, a city surrounded by
warehouses and truckers, I've come to experience the reality
that we as Inland Valley residents are already dealing with. Which
is a lack of investments in clean cars, trucks, and mass transit
for working-class Californians. For the sake of our youth to come,
we ask that a transition to a clean transportation system with 100%
zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) be by 2035 balanced with strategies,
such as transit investments, that lower VMT by 30% by
2035.
Once again, I urge the board to pass a strong scoping plan
because our community lives depend on it.
