Our organization, Kern Citizens for Energy, is a coalition of
hundres of business owners, nonprofits, and cities. We'd like to
express our concerns with the 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan.
Already struggling Kern County resodemts and business owners will
have to make incredibly difficult decisions about their future with
unprecedented energy prices continuing to rise.
Our coalition supports investigating a low carbon future via
innovative technology and projects; however, aggressive and
overzealous policies could make it difficult for businesses and
families to remain in California.
We ask that this board consider the hard-working middle class,
consumer choice, utility costs, and the need for affordable energy
for all. Thank you.
