I am not opposed to clean air. Grandmother told
stories of St Louis skies that were black in the winter from coal
burning furnaces.
I am opposed to electric cars with batteries that
are toxic to the environment if burned in an accident or expended.
I am opposed to the electric grid not being upgraded BEFORE these
requirements are implemented. I have heard nothing of upgrades
despite brown outs and rolling black outs because the grid cannot
handle current requirements. Manufacturing should be updated so
that when a battery is expended it won't cost the value of the car
to replace. Why not figure out the entire solution - manufacturing
that doesn't rape the planet and an upgraded grid -
first?
This agenda is being pushed without regard to the
consequences. They say it is better but I have not seen solutions
to basic questions which a non-scientist poses. It's just full
steam ahead no matter what happens. Please correct me if I am
wrong.
Wind power is the same. These machines use a lot of
oil to run. This oil must be replaced often. The blades must be
buried as toxic material.
Please STOP and create a complete plan before
implementing this crazy idea. All of our manufacturing jobs will be
run out of state or worse yet, offshore where there are no
regulations. That, my friend, is a worst case scenario.
