who?
As the members of CARB craft the
blueprint for our state's next five years of climate policy, they
hold the levers in their hands to move us in the right direction
at
a critical moment in time. As the state burns down around us, BART
trains derail from overheated tracks, and ithe drought continues
to
worsen, we must be laser-focused on the goals we have set for 2030
and beyond. We won't reach these goals by half measures. In fact,
we must be ambitious and innovative and act with a sense of
urgency
toward curbing greenhouse emissions.
The current CARB offering is dumbed
down and lacks a sense of urgency and further undercuts our
potential to be leaders in climate action. I encourage the staff
to
take bold action now to limit climate disaster. You have the tools
in your hands. Please use them.
