The choices made today are the choices that will change the
future of the youth living all over the world. This makes what
happens today extremely important.
I've already seen what climate change is doing to the Earth. The
weather is getting more extreme, and this isn't slowing down by the
looks of things. The EIA predicts that the number of cars and
light-duty trucks will reach 2.21 billion worldwide by 2050—a
70 percent increase—of which less than half will be electric
vehicles. In 2050, when I am 43 years old, I don't want to see such
an increase in these vehicles. I don't want more gas emissions. I
don't want the weather to be more extreme. But this information
doesn't make anything look hopeful. So I urge you to stop giving
Big Oil and Gas benefits and to start making a change, for my sake
and for the young people worldwide.
Thank you.
