Having a plan that requires CDR to meet its target, especially
at the scale that is proposed in the draft is equivalent to having
a plan that relies on humans having colonized Mars.
We cannot have a plan based on unproven CDR technology. This
would be like dumping poison in the oceans with the assumption that
our kids and grandkids will have some future tech to clean it up.
This is morally wrong particularly because not only are we putting
the burden on them to figure it out, (because we certainly have
not!) but because it is THEY who will have to live with the
consequences of our 'plan' that relied on non-existent
technology.
Please remove reliance on CDR from the plan. If it turns out to
work by then, great! But better to plan as if it won't be
there.
