I respectfull give my thoughts and opinions here to the board on
the matter of Climate Change Scoping Plan for
2022

firstly I am opposse fossil fuel expansion domestically and
globally but I understand we are a very difficult to resolve
situation
What we surely have an absolute moral obligation to do is to
rein in rogue refineries by committing California to a
policy/regulatory agenda that ensures that California refineries
are not sourcing crude from regions where there are Indigenous
rights violations or from regions where new oil drilling in the
Amazon is being planned.
It is imperative that California present a plan for how to
reduce and/or eliminate its consumption of crude from the Amazon so
that we do
not continue to" kick the can down the road" and pass
California's climate impacts on to the tribes and communities in
the Amazon
I would like to see California commit to new fuel efficiency
standards and to expand our current fuel efficiency framework and a
lot more thought to improving public transport between cities to
reduce traffic congestion on our freeways.
