To the members of CARB,
How much more scientific data is needed before we all, and in
this case your Board, realize that we have to reduce the
consumption of fossil fuels. There will always be economic
reasons to increase production, in both length of time, and
quantity. It is apparent that you are not taking into
consideration the present impacts to our environment, either in our
state or across the globe, That is the only explanation for
increasing oil capacity production.
There are alternatives, as I am sure you are aware. Make your
decision based on the most current science and let the economic
sector have their own response. People will discern that you are
coming from a place of doing what is necessary to protect the
planet and humanity.
I oppose the expansion of more oil production both domestically
and globally.
I urge you to take a stand, to not allow the expansion of oil
production in California.
