- The scoping plan is unacceptable and a huge
disappointment for the people of California (and the Country) who
look to CARB to lead in the fight to stop climate change.
- We have no time to waste. Evidence of climate change
is upon us in a terrifying way. Everyone is now at
risk. It is no longer a problem that will happen in the
future.

No New investments in fossil fuel infrastructure or
drilling. We must end our
reliance on fossil fuels. The fossil fuel industry is doing
everything it can to stay in business by pretending that the
continued use of fossil fuels can somehow be helpful. All investments
need to be in renewable energy to achieve carbon neutrality by
2035.

Our transportation
system needs to be overhauled to a transit-based
system.

There is too much emphasis on unproven
technologies like carbon capture and storage (CCS). This strategy will not save us.
It only provides a false hope that people can carry as
usual.

Finally, all climate action needs to
provide racial and economic equity. Low income and people of color
are suffering the most from our reckless dependence on fossil
fuels. This must be addressed .
