Dear California Air
Resources Board,
You hold some of the most
important keys to our climate future.
I am calling on you
to:
1.
Roll out
a full, coordinated phase out of fossil
fuels, with targets for
oil refining by 2045, oil and gas extraction by 2035, and a clean
electric grid by 2035.
2.
Accelerate and scale
up investments in clean cars, trucks, and mass
transit for working
class Californians across the state.
3.
Eliminate reliance
on climate policy dead ends like Carbon Capture,
Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) on polluting fuel
sources.
Please be leaders in
creating a future beyond oil and gas in California, one that
provides us all access to healthy air and clean, reliable
transportation.
