I urge CARB to raise the land use target in the AB 32 Scoping Plan
from 5 million metric tons of C02 equivalent (MMT) to at least 11
MMT.  California has always been a leader and this is one way to do
the right thing and influence others to follow.  The Climate Crisis
we are facing is real and we must take big steps toward addressing
it and minimizing the disasterous effects.  It's time to look into
the future and plan communities that reflect that reality.  I've
heard that CARB's plans for the AB32 Plan for reducing greenhouse
gas emissions was coming up really short from many different
sectors.  Please listen to us - we are policy makers, scientists,
parents of the future generation and the taxpayers who pay your
