| Comment | "Carbon offsets" are an absurd policy that allow companies and the government to make it look like they are doing something to fight climate change when in fact they are doing nothing and are simply taking credit for vegetation that was already there. Beyond that, sometimes these "offsets" involve displacing people who live in the ecosystem they are "acquiring". Furthermore, we need to be reducing our emissions, not just offsetting them. No carbon offset policies!!! |
