Dear Board Members,
I recently became aware of this proposed law regarding tire
inflation. I understand that proper tire air pressure can improve
gas mileage, but I do not think it should enforced through laws.  I
have to say that I think this proposed law is one of the most
ridiculous pieces of legislation I have ever heard of.  I can not
believe that your board would actually propose a law that would
send someone to jail for improper tire inflation along with a $1000
fine. There seems to be better ways to reduce pollution and improve
gas mileage then by send a person to jail for low tire pressure. In
these times of economic troubles it doesn't make sense to put more
burden on an already overcrowded prison system.  The federal
government has told to lower the prison population and now there
will be the need to imprison citizens for low tire pressure.
I hope you will revisit this proposed law and remove it from
consideration.  I encourage you all to vote no on this proposed
tire inflation law.
