When and where does government oversight end and personal
reponsibility begin. This type of proposed government regulation is
seizing the wheels of progress and killing this country. The next
proposal will be to give 10,000 illegal aliens minium wage to
travel the landscape with air tanks filling up every under pressure
tire. STOP IT!

Mandate a new tire design, auto inflators, something that can be
packaged with the vehicle and built into it's initial cost basis.
Educate the consumer. Mandate tire fill stations at all gas
stations. Install tire inflation centers along with the new
government run smog stations, service centers, tire centers, health
centers, etc. STOP IT!

The reality is...I go to the dentist and he checks all my teeth
not just one tooth, I buy groceries and they bag them for me, my
home HVAC guy checks my whole system once a year not just the
filter. I still have to brush my teeth, put the groceries away,
maintain my thermostat in a responsible manner. When my cuctomer
comes in for service, I service his/her vehicle including checking
the tires...

If I have to add an employee with enough brains to write up, fill
up and document every car that comes in for the mandated tire
pressure check the math is simple...$15 hr/employee, 20% load =
$37,000 year divided by 72 cars a week is $10/customer. The
customer is going to love this!

This is ridiculous. I cannot believe I am actually having to take
the time to write this comment. I actually harbored some thread of
trust, a belief in my elected officials that this dialogue going on
is the type of thing you hashed out internally and put in the round
file for it's total lack of merit before evere getting to this
point.

STOP IT!
