Committed emissions from carbon pollution already put in the air will push global temperatures to about 2.3 degrees Celsius (4.1 degrees Fahrenheit) of warming since pre-industrial times. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41558-020-00955-x Can we make the mobile strategies move faster to zero to accommodate the science? The presentations on 6/10 included walkable communities on transit hubs and a jobs housing balance. How do we get cities to meet existing VMT reduction targets? A measure of permitted per capita metric tons of carbon emission by project required to meet the targets would be helpful in assessing development.
