Subject: Aliso Canyon proposed public settlement with So Cal Gas

I have many concerns about Aliso Canyon continuing to function and would very much like to see it shut down; and much sooner than the 9 years left per Governor Brown's agreement to shut it down. We were not made aware of the gas wells presence when we bought our home in Chatsworth many years ago. Their presence would have been an important consideration in weighing our options of whether to buy a home in this area. As for the settlement, one big concern is in regards to the continuous real-time fence monitoring that SoCal Gas is required to pay for, for at least the next 8 years. Who and/or what organization is going to be doing the monitoring? It should be an objective 3rd party like the EPA, SQAMD, or other independent organization that will conduct the monitoring. It SHOULD NOT be SoCal Gas or an affiliate as they are not an objective, trustworthy 3rd party.
