A “Forest Carbon Plan” should be developed to describe the actions necessary to ensure that California’s forests are managed to optimize emission reduction and sequestration opportunities This is the quote from the draft plan - what plans are there to develop this plan? - acknowledging the roles our forest play in the carbon sequestration is essential to meeting the goals for GHG reduction. The board must develop this plan and take credit for the huge sinks of GHG that are being permanently stored in the products that come from our forests.
