Subject: Report - Economic Impacts of Phasing out Gas Vehicles

Dear CARB Board members, In response to proposals to phase out internal combustion engines, Kern County commissioned an independent fiscal study on the land use implications for the loss of gas stations and related repair and service shops as well as jobs. The included link to the report shows a $90 million annual loss to Kern County General Fund. In addition we provided an online calculator for other cities and counties to calculate their potential impacts.
