Comment:
Dear CARB employees,
It is counter to science, biology and ecology to treat conifer
forests, shrublands and chaparral as a single category for ANY
purpose, even fire management. To do so WILL lead to terrible and
counterproductive management practices over large parts of the
state for carbon sequestration, climate resilience, and wildfire
management.

CARB should consult with nationally recognized outside experts
who's livelihood does not depend on CARB's decisions in this area.

I believe that you should recirculate scientific sound scenarios
with an appropriate focus on conservation, restoration, carbon
sequestration, and climate resilience. Thank you for applying the
scientific veracity of my comments to your scenarios.

Yours truly, Michael W. Popoff
