I am a strong supporter of SB367 and it's support of sustainable land use practices. I would like to see legislation go beyond sustaibable to support restorative and Regenerative practices in protecting Farm and Ranch land. Protecting and restoring our natural resources is essential. Looking at restorative and regenerative ag practices as practiced and taught by incredible educators such as Daren Dougherty of Regrarians in Australia www.regrarians.org and Mark Shepard, author of Restoration Agriculture, Farmer/Consultant in Wisconsin http://www.newforestfarm.net, is a way to promote landstewardship practices and farmers moving this direction. Restoring ecosystems through alternative farming practices and preserving diversity should be a priority.
