I ask that you disapprove of carbon capture and underground
sequestration since it only eliminates a part of carbon dioxide
from burning fossil fuel, the part of its use at a point of
application, but does not reduce the carbon dioxide released from
drilling, transporting, and storage of the fuel, then transporting
and sequestering. Also, it prolongs the time that carbon is brought
up from underground. Also, it would be easy for industries to stop
capturing carbon when they feel they need to make more money since
the capture and sequestration costs are not part of the product of
the industry. There will be sacrifices in the transition to not
using fossil fuel, but are the lives of our grandchildren worth it?
Of course, they are.
