Hello, I work at the City of Whittier in the transit section and CARB rules are changing over the next few years and I will be needing to purchase 100% electric transit vehicles for my City's Dial-A-Ride fleet. We currently do not have any electric transit vehicles. I would just like to ensure that some of this VW money finds its way directly to local cities with small transit fleets under 20 vehicles. We will need to purchase and install electric charging infrastructure in the next few years and this is an ideal source of funds. However in LA County, we are always competing with the large operators like Metro, Access Services, Big Blue Bus and Foothill transit. I feel this VW funding source should be accessible for small cities needing to start the electrification of their fleets so I am advocating for direct funding for small transit operators. Thank you.
