Dear CARB Leadership: The city of Carson is a very diverse city located in Los Angeles County. It is surrounded by the 110 freeway, the 405 freeway, the 91 freeway and the 710 freeway. TESORO oil refinery, Shell oil and Kinder Morgan refinery join these freeways in contributing to the poor air quality experienced by Carson residents on a daily basis. Our city officials and staff are working tirelessly to correct this problem. Our world is moving rapidly towards clean renewable energy. Electric cars is a major element in reaching our goal. Critical to encouraging the purchase of EV's is an infrastructure that supports them. To build such an infrastructure, funds are a must. The Volkswagen settlement is essential to our quest to improve the lives of the residents in Carson. I am asking you to choose Carson as the city to become the recipient of the VW funding. Thank you
