Subject: FCEV funding as part of the VW settlement

In California, and especially in the two largest metro areas, we have a sizable and growing user base of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles. I have leased a FCEV and am very pleased with the operations and zero emission characteristics along with fast fueling that rivals my gasoline cars for speed. In recent years, I've enjoyed driving several battery electric vehicles and think that the support in California makes them exceptionally great cars for a number of drivers. At the same time, I was saddened to see that there was minimal/no funding proposed in this settlement towards the hydrogen fueling stations, car production or any similar/related needs. Certainly VW group is going to have a number of options here but I would encourage the administrators to show the results of our state experiments with H2 Fuel Cells and find a way to introduce options for them to manufacture cars like this or take part in the infrastructure development.
