Subject: comments Volkswagen Settlement – California ZEV Investment Plan
Comment:
PDC Machines appreciate the opportunity to provide comments to the California Air Resources Board (ARB) regarding Volkswagen Group of America’s California Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Investment Plan: Cycle 1 (“Plan”). We urge ARB to postpone approval of the submitted plan, and to work with Volkswagen to amend the Plan to include HFS investment and a clear role for FCV in ZEV awareness and access programs. This will help grow consumer interest in all ZEV technologies and help improve station access and customer refueling experience. The Volkswagen Investment Plan issued on March 8, 2017 allocated a total funding of $200,000,000 with none of this amount going toward hydrogen and fuel cell infrastructure and vehicle deployment. Accordingly, PDC Machines supports the comments issued by the Hydrogen Business Council, NEL Hydrogen, and the Fuel Cell Hydrogen Energy Association on April 7th 2017. PDC urges ARB to postpone approval of the submitted plan, and to work with Volkswagen to amend the Plan to include HFS investment and a clear role for FCV in ZEV awareness and access programs. Taking these common-sense actions will help grow consumer interest in all ZEV technologies and help improve station access and customer refueling experience PDC Machines is a member of The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association. We are dedicated to the commercialization of fuel cells and hydrogen energy technologies as a manufacturer of hydrogen compressors and systems packager. Sincerely; Osama Al-Qasem Sales & Marketing Manager
