Ladies and Gentlemen: Our state has long led the nation in environmental action, and this is no time to abandon that position. We need to do whatever we can to reign in the carbon emissions from our vehicles, factories and homes, while at the same time promoting viable alternative energy solutions through improvements to existing "green" technology and investment in new forms of alternative energy production.
