The articles I've been reading about greener. Cement focus on the traditional materials but fail to mention post-processing add-ins that reduce the AMOUNT of cement needed. Prominent here is graphene, an all-carbon two-dimensional molecule that forms super-strong sheets. I know Cemex has been using it with apparent success. Mixed into the final product, grapheme can make the product stronger and lighter at little or no added cost. Encouraging innovations such as grapheme can do more to reduce carbon dioxide than just tinkering with what now exists. Please give such groundbreaking approaches more attention in your future investigations. |
