Good morning, my name is Pa Houa Lee, and I am an Ambassador of California EnviroVoters. I am writing to address the concern of our air quality. I think it has been long enough. For 40 years, bad air quality has been an issue in California. Our generation and future children are learning that the bad quality of air we breathe is normal. It should not! We all should have access to clean air. I live right next to the highway of 180, and every month someone in my family experiences some type of sickness, especially my mom. My mom is currently 76, and she is becoming more susceptible to getting sick. The people in charge of cleaning our air are failing to protect the health of the public. We need real solutions that should prioritize our people who are in need. |
