SubjectRecommendation to Integrate Climate Smart Farming Practices into LCFS
Comment
This comment presents a limited scope proposal designed as a first
step toward recognizing climate smart agriculture ("CSA") within
the Low Carbon Fuel Standard ("LCFS"). This proposal is supported
by a broad group of industry stakeholders including farmers, low
carbon fuel producers, non-governmental organizations, and trade
associations.

In addition to the Low Carbon Fuels Coalition, the following
companies and organizations have expressed support for this letter:
Adelante Consulting, Bayer, Bushel, Clean Fuels Alliance America,
Farmers Business Network, Fueling Sustainability, Gevo, Green
Plains, National Corn Growers Association and the Renewable Fuels
Association.

We are recommending that the California Air Resources Board
recognize certain farming practices that enable feedstock to be
produced in a less carbon intensive manner. The full comment is
attached. Thank you for the opportunity to provide this comment.
We are available for further discussions on this issue.

Best Regards,
