Posted: 09 Feb 2017 08:18:48
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted the discussion paper and additional materials for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard Fuel-Specific Working Meeting focusing on Biodiesel and Renewable Diesel on February 10, 2017. The above can be found at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs_meetings/lcfs_meetings.htm. If you have questions about the workshop, please contact Jim Aguila, Branch Chief, Climate Change Program Planning and Management Branch, at (916) 322-8283 or via email at Jim.Aguila@arb.ca.gov, or Sam Wade, Branch Chief, Transportation Fuels Branch, at (916) 322-8263 or via email at Samuel.Wade@arb.ca.gov. The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce California’s greenhouse gas emissions. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels. California is in a drought emergency.
