The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) and Air
Resources Board (ARB) held community meetings earlier this month
to discuss use of Cap-and-Trade auction proceeds 
to fund projects that reduce greenhouse gases in disadvantaged
and low-income communities to implement Senate Bill (SB) 535 (De
León, Statutes of 2012) and Assembly Bill (AB) 1550 (Gomez,
Statutes of 2016).  Detailed information on the draft concepts
discussed at these community meetings are available at:

In response to requests from community groups, CalEPA and ARB
have released interactive maps (and associated GIS and Google
Earth files) related to the administration’s proposed methodology
for identifying low-income communities under AB 1550.  The files

In addition, CalEPA and ARB are also extending the comment
deadline from February 20, 2017 to February 21, 2017.  Written
