arbcombo -- ARB Research Seminar: Building Natural Gas Infrastructure for Future Conversion of Near Zero Transportation Technology
Posted: 05 Jul 2017 12:19:31
Amy Myers Jaffe, M.S. and Joan Ogden, Ph.D., University of California, Davis Tuesday, July 18, 2017 10:00 a.m., PST (WEBCAST) Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, Cal/EPA Building 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California The Low Carbon Fuels Standard (LCFS) provides time for the development of advanced, near-zero technologies. However, having infrastructure already in place to deliver alternative fuels to fleets, once more alternative fuels are already in place, will ease the future transition to zero or near-zero transportation technology (e.g. biofuels, electric and fuel cell technology). This project aimed to complement ARB’s on-going work on technology assessment by exploring how the near-term development of natural gas infrastructure, in the heavy-duty transportation sector, can be implemented to include technology that can best facilitate the long-term conversion to near-zero technology.
