The Air Resources Board (ARB) is pleased to announce the date for
the next Dairy and Livestock Subgroup #3 Meeting (Research Needs,
Including Enteric Fermentation) in September 2017.  

Subgroup meetings are open to the public. A live webcast,
conference call line and email address will be available for
remote participation at the meeting. Meeting specifics are
outline below.

Background Information:
To facilitate the development of measures to reduce dairy and
livestock emissions, SB 1383 (Lara, Chapter 395, Statutes of
2016) requires ARB to work with a broad range of stakeholders to
identify and address technical, market, regulatory, and other
challenges and barriers to the development of dairy methane
emission reduction projects. In response, ARB worked with the
California Department of Food and Agriculture, the California
Energy Commission, and the California Public Utilities Commission
to convene a Dairy and Livestock Working Group. More information
on the Working Group can be found at:

a kick-off meeting on May 23, 2017, where three subgropus were
formed to develop policy recommendations in the following areas:

-Subgroup #1: Fostering markets for non-digester projects

-Subgroup #2: Fostering markets for digester projects

-Subgroup #3: Research needs, including enteric fermentation
