gmbond -- ARB Prop 1B Workshops -- Change

Posted: 17 Apr 2008 12:23:51
We’ve just posted the notice for the upcoming workshops on the
Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program to be held the week of
April 28. You can find the notice on our website at:
http://arb.ca.gov/gmbond.

Please note that we changed the Los Angeles corridor workshop to
Tuesday, April 29, 6-8 p.m. at the Long Beach Civic Center. This
replaces the tentative May 1 meeting in Wilmington.

We received 19 project proposals from nine local agencies for
the remaining $221 million in FY2007-08 funds. The website
includes a summary of those proposals. The complete applications
will be posted on April 21, followed by a table with staff’s
preliminary funding recommendations on April 25.

We are recommending that the $221 million be divided between the
four trade corridors based on the corridor funding targets
adopted by the Board on February 28, 2008 as part of the Program
Guidelines. This results in $122 million for the Los
Angeles/Inland Empire, $55 million for the Central Valley, $31
million for the Bay Area, and $13 million for the San
Diego/Border region. The purpose of the workshops is to get
public input on how the funds should be distributed among the
eligible projects within each corridor.
