Revised estimates of fine PM-related premature deaths will be
available on May 22, 2008.

At the April 20, 2006 Air Resources Board meeting, staff
presented the results of a health impacts analysis related to
goods movement in California. This analysis can be found in
Appendix A at http://www.arb.ca.gov/planning/gmerp/gmerp.htm .
Staff also informed the Board of plans to revise the health
impacts methodology by updating it with new health information
that relates changes in PM2.5 exposures to premature death.
Staff reviewed all relevant literature and revised its
methodology, which has undergone peer review by a panel formed
by the University of California, Berkeley. The new methodology
will be presented to the Board on May 22, 2008. For information
on the location and time of the Board meeting, please see the
