Please join us on December 10-11, 2008 for the California Asthma
Research Summit, presented by California Breathing, a program
within the California Department of Public Health, and the
American Asthma Foundation. Renowned scientists from around the
country will present their cutting-edge asthma research on
topics including genetics, environmental exposures, nutrition,
infection, allergic inflammation, molecular shapers of response,
and the psycho-neurological factors affecting asthma.   

The Asthma Research Summit will provide an opportunity for
researchers, healthcare providers, public health professionals,
health educators, coalition members, asthma advocates, and other
interested individuals to hear about the latest in asthma
research.

The summit will be held in San Francisco at the UCSF Mission Bay
Conference Center.  Early-bird registration for the two-day event
is $130 (November 5th deadline); after this date, higher fees
will be in effect.

The California Asthma Research Summit is a must for anyone
interested in the science of asthma and current efforts to
better understand this serious disease. Please forward this
announcement to anyone you think might be interested and feel
free to post it on listservs. 

For community members who would like to interact with the
researchers but are unable to join us for the summit, an online
community forum featuring selected researchers is planned for
December 9th.  Information about this event will soon be posted
on the registration website.

charge!
