New: A Staff Draft Concept Paper on Proposition 1B: Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program Update to Program Guidelines (FY2008-09 Funds) has been posted on ARB’s website. The Concept Paper contains staff’s ideas for updating the Program Guidelines which define the responsibilities of ARB, local agencies and equipment owners as well as technical specifications and funding amounts for eligible projects. Reminder: The staff concepts for updating the Program Guidelines will be the subject of next week’s workshops which will be held as follows: November 17 in Fresno November 18 in Oakland November 19 in Long Beach November 20 in San Diego November 21 in Sacramento Proposition 1B authorized $1 billion in bond funding for ARB and local agency partners to quickly reduce air pollution emissions and health risk from freight movement along California’s priority trade corridors. ARB received the second installment of $250 million this year.
