Posted: 12 Jan 2009 16:00:29
AB 118 provides about $50 million annually through 2015 for the Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) to fund a variety of air quality incentive projects, including low-emission vehicles and equipment projects, air quality research, and advanced technology workforce training. The Air Resources Board (ARB or “the Board”) invites you to participate in a public workshop to discuss development of the AQIP on February 4, 2009 in Sacramento and February 5, 2009 in Fresno. The workshop on February 4 will also be webcast. The notice for this public workshop is available at www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/mailouts/msc0904/msc0904.pdf . This is the fourth and final set of workshops planned for the AQIP Guideline and FY 2009-10 Funding Plan development. Staff plans to release the Proposed AQIP Guidelines and Proposed FY 2009-10 Funding Plan in March 2009 for public comment prior to Board consideration of these items at the April 23, 2009 Board meeting. ARB staff provided preliminary draft AQIP Guidelines language and FY 2009-10 Funding Plan ideas at its November 5-6, 2008 public workshops in Sacramento and Diamond Bar (this information can be found at: www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aqip/meetings/meetings.htm ) For more information regarding the February 2009 AQIP workshops, contact Mr. Joe Calavita, ARB Staff Air Pollution Specialist at (916)-445-4586 or jcalavit@arb.ca.
