dms -- MY2007 and MY2008 On-Road Production Reports For FY 08/09 Certification Fees

Mail-out MSO #2009-02 was issued on April 27, 2009, requesting manufacturers and laboratories to provide the number of MY2007 and MY2008 vehicles or engines that were produced by the manufacturer during calendar-year 2007 (CY2007) for sale into California, or the number of UDI vehicles that were tested and certified by the laboratory during CY2007 for use and registration in California. The Air Resources Board (ARB) will use the reported numbers of vehicles and engines to determine the FY08/09 certification fees for each company pursuant to Title 13, California Code of Regulations, Sections 1990-1994. Mail-out MSO #2009-02 and its attached tables for reporting can be viewed and/or downloaded from the link below. http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/mailouts/mouts_09.htm#msod Please: 1) Review the Mail-out. 2) Download the Excel tables. Excel Tables 1A/B, 2A/B, and 3A/B each have two (2) tabs, one tab for reporting the production numbers and the other tab for providing contact information for invoicing. 3) Provide your company's CY2007 (or MY2007, as explained in the Mail-out) vehicle and engine production numbers or UDI vehicle numbers in the Excel tables (first tab of the Excel files). Please add any missing MY2007 and MY2008 test groups and engine families and report their production numbers. Please also provide the invoice contact information (second tab of the Excel files). 4) Submit the completed Excel files containing the production numbers and invoice contact information to the ARB’s Document Management System (DMS). Attachment A in Mail-out MSO# 2009-02 provides guidance for DMS submittal. 5) Please provide the information no later than May 15, 2009. No changes will be allowed after this date. 6) Please forward this notification to the appropriate personnel in your company if you are presently not handling certification fee matters. 7) For consultants and contract services that handled the certification of vehicles and engines on behalf of manufacturers, please forward this notification to your client manufacturers and/or ensure that the affected manufacturers respond to Mail-out MSO #2009-02 no later than May 15, 2009.
