Commentary: Check The Price Tag First. A recent study,
commissioned by the government, no less, revealed that it costs
California small businesses an average of $134,000 a year to
comply with state regulations. A previous study by the same
university professors found regulations to enforce the state's
Global Warming Solutions Act will cost small businesses another
$50,000 a year. Merely complying with these arbitrary regulations
can be the difference between profit and loss. Posted.
