publicfleets -- ARB encourages government officials to support their fleet administrators efforts.
Posted: 22 May 2007 13:39:46
The Air Resources Board (Board) has issued a letter encouraging county and city government officials to support their fleet administrators in complying with the Fleet Rule for Public Agencies and Utilities. Compliance with the regulation is important to fleet operators to not only reduce diesel soot emissions from their diesel-fueled fleet, but also to avoid costly penalties associated with non-compliance. The first implementation deadline for the regulation is December 31, 2007, where 20 percent of diesel-fueled vehicles subject to the regulation with 1960 through 2002 model year engines must have best available control technology applied.
