What's New List Serve Post Display

CAT Public Health Work Group members,. 

The Climate Action Team is meeting on Thursday, March 11 (click

 We wanted to draw your attention to two agenda items related to
public health.


1. Working Group Updates: Linda Rudolph (CDPH) will provide a
brief update on the CAT Public Health Work Group 


2. Mitigation/Adaptation Measures for Near-Term Implementation
Plans: Andrew Altevogt (CalEPA) will briefly present each CAT
work group’s list of prioritized strategies for the next year.  A
companion document, available at the link above, lists a more
detailed version of each work group’s draft strategies list that
will form the basis of a Near-Term Implementation Plan to be
developed in the next quarter.  Due to time constraints, ARB and
DPH staff were not able to directly involve stakeholders in the
development of the Public Health Work Group draft strategy list. 
However, DPH and ARB staff used the public health sector
adaptation strategy (link to CAS
http://www.climatechange.ca.gov/adaptation/) and the CAT Public
Health Work Group Work Plan (link to July 6, 2009 meeting
materials
http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/ab32publichealth/meetings/070609/revised_workplan_070609.pdf)
that were developed with stakeholder input to inform the
development of the draft strategies list.  As the prioritized
strategies list is still in draft form, we look forward to
engaging with work group members in a discussion of work group
priorities at the next Public Health Work Group meeting (date
forthcoming).
