arbcombo -- Extension of the Cleaire Horizon Electric Particulate Filter On-Road Verification

The Air Resources Board (ARB) has extended the on-road verification of the Cleaire Horizon Electric Particulate Filter (Horizon). The Horizon is verified as a Level 3 Plus diesel emission control system for use with most four-stroke on-road diesel engines up through and including the 2006 model year having displacements up to 15 liters. Diesel engines of model year 2006 and 1993 or older with original equipment diesel oxidation catalysts are now included in this verification provided certain conditions are met. The Horizon uses a silicon carbide wall-flow filter with an electric heater for regeneration to achieve an 85 percent reduction in emissions of diesel particulate matter.
